Care Ministry
What is Care Ministry?
Ironwood Church's Care Ministry seeks to provide prayer, support, resources, and tangible expressions of God's care for people during life's meaningful and challenging moments. Our care team is privileged to offer God's comfort to those in our church and community who need it (2 Cor. 1:3-5).
Prayer
The Prayer Team considers it an honor to care for our church and community by praying for the needs of our members, attenders, and neighbors. Please fill out the prayer request form to let us know how we can be praying for you.
Tangible Needs
We have a team of volunteers who love to help as able by meeting tangible needs such as housekeeping, yard work, maintenance, moving, occasional transportation, and various other tasks. If you or someone you know has a need, please contact us to make a request.
Visitation
The Visitation Team meets with those who are in the hospital, receiving long-term care, homebound, in an assisted living facility, or who are in an extended season of difficulty. We would love to spend time with you, pray with you, and encourage you, so please reach out to us if you or someone who you know would appreciate a thoughtful visit from our team.
Widow/Widower Care
The Widow/Widower Care Team provides ongoing support, connection, and tangible resources to those grieving the loss of a spouse. To request care, or to make our team aware of a new widow/widower, please contact us.
Foster Care + Adoption
Our Foster Care & Adoption support group meets monthly to provide community, resources, practical equipping (including CEU-qualified trainings), and encouragement to families in any stage of the foster care and/or adoption process. For more information about the support group, or to let us know of a new foster/adoptive family, please email us.
Caregiver Support
Serving as a caregiver for a loved one or family member is one of the most noble yet under appreciated callings. Our Caregiver Support Team exists to provide encouragement, assistance, and resources to those in our church community who are either in a caregiving role or preparing to enter into that stage. If you are a caregiver, or know someone who would benefit from additional support, please let us know.
Bereavement
Our Bereavement Team walks with families through the process of loss, funeral planning, and the ongoing experience of grief. To request care and/or resources with processing grief and loss, funeral planning services, or to inform us of a death within the church family, please fill out this form.
